The Z28 was re-introduced, as a model and not an RPO, to the buying public in the spring of 1977 as a 1977½ in response to increasing sales of Pontiacs Trans Am, which sold over 46,000 units in 1976 and accounted for half of all Firebird sales that year. The revived Z28 was powered by a 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 with four-barrel carburetor producing 185 hp (138 kW; 188 PS) (175 hp (130 kW; 177 PS) with California emissions equipment), with most cars sold equipped with air conditioning and an automatic transmission. In 1979 the Z28s now came with a front spoiler and fender flares much like its Pontiac Trans Am twin had, and now came with Z28 decals that ran from the beginning of the front flares to the bottoms of the doors. Electric rear window defroster became optional this year, replacing the old blower type. Sales for 1979 were the highest ever for any generation Camaro before or since, numbering 282,571 units. This 1933 Ford pickup is original Henry Ford steel cab that is straight with no signs of heavy filler used. The running boards and fenders are fiberglass but hard to tell unless you have a mag net. With them so smooth they appear as to be steel. The engine like most street rods is the powerful small block 350 with a 4-barrel carb sitting on top feeding the right amount of fuel on demand. Backed up by a th350 3 speed automatic transmission. Which turns the ford 9 rear end packed with a set of 3.73 gears allowing for the best of both worlds. Down low grunt and top end speed. Inside h bench seat has been covered in black vinyl with red inserts helping to bring the outside in. The ooogah horn is a great touch as well keeping with the 30s theme. The oak barrel is an ode to where the truck was built in Kentucky and with the trucks updated KIFS upfront it really handles those back roads nicely. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster. The BMW Z3 is a range of two-seater sports cars which was produced from 1995 to 2002. The Z3 was based on the E36 3 Series platform, while using the rear semi-trailing arm suspension design of the older E30 3 Series. It is the first mass-produced Z Series car. Development on the roadster began in 1991 and was led by Burkhard Goschel. The exterior was designed by Joji Nagashima, being completed in mid-1992 at 39 months before production and the design was frozen in 1993. Design patents were filed on April 2, 1994, in Germany and on September 27, 1994, in the US. The Z3 was introduced via video press release by BMW North America on June 12, 1995. Production began on September 20, 1995. The Z3 was the first BMW model to be solely manufactured outside of Germany. It was manufactured in Greer, South Carolina. Roadster models entered production in September 1995, powered by 4-cylinder engines on launch. 6-cylinder engines were later introduced in 1996. A removable hardtop roof was available as an optional accessory. Z3M models were introduced in 1998 in roadster and coupé body styles and were powered by the S50, S52, or S54 straight-six engine depending on country and model year. The Z3M models came with a 5-speed manual transmission. Powering this 1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster is the S52B32 Inline 6 making 240 HP at 6,000 RPM and 225 LB-FT at 4,250 RPM from factory.
