Description:

Up for sale in our Detroit Showroom is a 1963 Mercury Comet Gasser named The Instigator. A gasser is a type of hot rod originating on the dragstrips all around the United States in the late 1950s and continued until the early 1970s. In the days before Pro Stock, the A/Gas cars were the fastest stock-appearing racers around. Gassers are based on closed body production models from the 1930s to mid-1960s, which have been stripped of extraneous weight and jacked up using a beam axle or tubular axle to provide better weight distribution on acceleration though a raised stock front suspension is common as well. This Gasser hasnt had much weight reduction done having the power hydraulic tilt front end which contains the 350 CID Chevy small block and TH 350 transmission. This dominant duo has less than 500 miles on the build and can rip pavement apart with one stab of the gas pedal. From a dead stop, the posi traction rear end with a 3.50 gear launch you forward like every strip of pavement is a dragstrip. The paint on this Gasser looks amazing and is completely custom throughout. The interior is a very clean and factory looking vinyl with a Hurst shifter and a few additional gauges that provide great comfort while manning this machine. If you have always wanted that attention grabbing ride that has left its footprint in automotive history, you need to drive a Gasser. There is no feeling that can compare to the thrill ride of moving a nostalgic monster through the streets. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Denver welcomes this (Believed to be Actual Miles) 1957 Fleetwood 4 Door Hard Top Cadillac! Lawrence P. Fisher was the Fisher brother most closely involved with Cadillac in its early years. In 1916, he joined the Fisher Body Company, which had been formed by two of his brothers in 1908. Larry (as people knew him) was one of four of the seven Fisher brothers who brought Fisher Body Corporation under the General Motors umbrella in 1919. In May 1925, Alfred P. Sloan, then the head of General Motors, appointed Fisher as Cadillac General Manager, an office he retained through 1934. Fisher immediately went to work adding exclusive, custom bodies to the Cadillac range. Thus he oversaw the purchase of the Fleetwood Metal Body Company by the Fisher Body Corporation in September 1925.[1] The Fleetwood Body Company of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, was founded by Harry Urich in the nineteenth century. It began as a small community of craftsmen founded by Henry Fleetwood, Esq. of Penwortham, near Lancaster, England (the Fleetwood family flourished in England in the 17th and 18th centuries). The rich traditions of 300 years of coach-building that the Fleetwood Body Company applied to its work on cars secured for it a high reputation in automobile circles worldwide by the 1920s. Coachwork was built by Fleetwood for a variety of luxury makes through 1924. However, after the Fisher Body Corporation purchased the Fleetwood Body Company in 1925, Fleetwood bodies were reserved exclusively for Cadillac. By 1929 GM had purchased the remaining stock holdings of the Fisher Body Corporation and thus became sole owner of both the Fisher and Fleetwood companies Cadillac used the Fleetwood name as a prefix between 1934 and 1976 on several of its most expensive models, always designating an elevated level of luxury. Between 1958 and 1961, Cadillac used the Brougham sub-designation for its exclusive four-door Eldorado models. The Fleetwood script and crest would not appear on the exterior of any Cadillac until the 1947 model year when it appeared on the rear deck lid of the Sixty Special. By 1952 it also appeared on the rear deck lid of the Series 75. In 1957 the Cadillac Series 70 Eldorado Brougham joined the Sixty Special and the Series 75 as the only Cadillac models with Fleetwood bodies although Fleetwood script or crests did not appear anywhere on the exterior of the car.[4] This marked the first time in 20 years that a Fleetwood bodied car was paired with the Brougham name.[2][3][5] When production of the Eldorado Brougham was shifted in 1959 from the Cadillac Fleetwood plant in Detroit to Pininfarina in Turin, Italy, only then did it acquire Fleetwood wheel discs[6] and doorsill moldings,[7] presumably because the design work[7] and final touches[8] were still being done by Fleetwood. Dont miss your opportunity to own a piece of real American Cadillac history in our Denver Showroom. It can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and a HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this beautiful 1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 for sale! This was the top of the line performance car from Chevrolet in 1991 and still is a great performance muscle car today! A blast to drive around town or the track. In 1986, GM acquired Group Lotus. They went after the title of worlds fastest production car based on the C4 Corvette. With input from GM, Lotus designed a new engine to fit in the ZR1. The result was what GM dubbed the LT5. A 5.7L V8 engine putting out 375hp. This engine, with only 22k miles, mated to a unique 6-speed manual transmission. In addition to the engine, Lotus also helped design the upgraded braking and steering systems used in the ZR1. The ZR1, being 200 lbs. heavier than a stock C4, needed better braking and handling. In 1990, the 1991 ZR-1 and 1991 base model received updates to bodywork, interior, and wheels. The rear convex fascia that set the 1990 ZR-1 apart from the base model found its way to all 1991 models, making the high-priced ZR-1 even less distinguishable. Further changes were made the following year in 1991, including extra ZR-1 badges on the fenders and the introduction of (ASR) or traction control. This particular 1991 example is painted in a striking red exterior with a very clean gray leather interior. Comes with both targa tops, glass and paint matched. Other options on this car include A/C, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, power windows, tilt wheel, traction control, ride control, power mirrors, leather interior, radial tires, and aluminum wheels. Certainly a car with plenty of performance handling for a thrill ride. With all the other amenities, it makes it a overall car. If you are a C4 Corvette fan, this one is for you! This 1991 ZR1 Corvette is for sale in our Indianapolis showroom and can be seen in fantastic detail including 100+ HD photos and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our staff at (317) 688-1100 or email us at Indianapolis@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars Dallas is proud to offer a new nice 1966 Ford Mustang. The first-generation Ford Mustangs have held onto their popularity even better than even Betty White. It is quickly apparent that this 1966 Mustang coupe has remained on the A-list for decades with no signs of slowing down. The deep red exterior finish provides a deep shine and gives our Ford an elegant, timeless look that will always be in demand. This Mustang is nicely outfitted with an under-dash Factory A/C unit, and an upgraded AM FM radio, A black trim steering wheel works well with the matching dash appliques with white gauges, adding a sporty look thats perfect for the Mustangs personality. The five-hole gauge panel was standard equipment in 1966 and were guessing that the gauges inside are original, but theyre in good condition overall. The strong-running rebuilt 289 cubic inch V8 is upgraded with a 4 barrel carb and chrome air cleaner, Power Steering with front disc brakes, all under the hood. this 289 is smooth and torquey, the ideal partner for the automatic transmission. Its not showy, but the Ford Blue engine enamel is the right color and there are no obvious signs of trauma in this cars past. A C4 three-speed automatic transmission shifts without complaint and is backed by an 8-inch full of highway-friendly gears. As the supply of clean, well-finished Mustangs shrinks, cars like this will become ideal places to park some money for a few years, and theres simply nothing more fun than a vintage pony with a few tricks up its sleeve.
