Gateway Classic Cars Houston is very excited to offer this gorgeous collectors dream 1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 W-30 for sale. In addition to being to a rare 4-4-2 color, this Burgundy Mist W-Machine is very well optioned, making it an even more unique W-Machine (see list below or contact us for a copy). Its current owner has been collecting and restoring Oldsmobiles for over 30 years, and in his words, ...Ive only seen 3 others in color code 78. While that shouldnt be taken to imply that only a handful of 4-4-2s were built in this color, youll probably find it nearly impossible to find another one like it. This 4-4-2 was treated to an extremely thorough restoration: while nearly all original, it has some non-OE parts that are better than the originals. For one thing, to keep the giant 455 cool, a monster custom-fabbed (and painstakingly custom fit) aluminum radiator was added, and the engine and transmission were substantially upgraded internally to support the extra power that the drivetrain was targeted to deliver. According to the dyno report, this 455 is putting out 514 peak HP and 578 lb-ft peak torque, which is a noticeable improvement over the factory rating of 370HP/500lb-ft torque. The engine is a full roller engine - built, balanced, blueprinted, and dynoed by renowned Oldsmobile engine wizard Dick Miller. According to the owner, stabbing the go pedal to the floor at a 65-mph cruise could easily get you sideways in this beast as it drops to 2nd gear and smokes the tires (even at that speed). While we wont attempt to validate that assertion, this Dr. Oldsmobile-approved enhanced big block already acts like its on steroids, so we have no reason to doubt that it can do that. The first restoration on this car was done in 1991, and at that time, when it went to the spray booth, it was painted black. The current owner tracked it down in Seattle, where it was first sold (and remained), over a dozen years ago. Shortly thereafter, he decided to bring it back to its original glory, minus the black vinyl top, as one can see. The car was sent to Impatient Creations in Alabama for its rebirth. It left there with a folder full of receipts and work descriptions, plus a USB drive with hundreds of photos, where one can see step by step of the process described in painstaking detail in the receipts. The body was taken down to bare metal, and any rust that was found was removed and replaced with metal. There is, according to the owner, zero bondo on this car. Based on the restoration photos, well agree...a painstaking and thorough effort went into making this car better than it left the line in Lansing, Michigan in December 1969. Now sporting its original hue, but with a better finish that the factory produced, this is one crazy good-looking A-body. Under the hood, this 4-4-2 W30 is packing its original 455 CID V8, with its F-code high compression heads and aluminum intake, but with the benefit of an improved roller valvetrain, the giant radiator, a date-code correct 4BBL carb, and a hidden MSD ignition enhancement. Youll also see the telltale red inner fenders and the Force Air induction. Behind the 455 is the beefed up TH400 automatic, which spins the 3.42 gears (and limited slip differential) out back. The transmission is controlled by the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter, which works like a charm. The black interior is by Legendary, and it is in superb condition, still looking like new. The gauges were redone, and the clock replaced with an OE-look quartz unit. Outside, not only is the paint miles deep, the original stainless steel trim has been professionally polished, and it gleams like new. During the restoration, every part was either removed and restored, or it was replaced with NOS (new old stock) or an improved part. The original R12 HVAC system has been converted to R134, and it blows cold, thanks to the new A6 compressor. The exhaust system is a high-quality reproduction, but with the addition of electric cutouts, for when you want to let everyone within earshot know that this machine is NOT one to be trifled with.According to its owner, this 4-4-2 has won numerous awards, including a Best of Class at Oldsmobile Zone show, and other top awards at many regional shows across Texas, Oklahoma, and Alabama. It comes with a giant framed display, which includes the 1970 owners manual, factory paint chip sample card, W-Machine sales literature, and what appears to be the original sales invoice (in quite good condition). Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street “Indy Cylinder Head built the Dart”. It has a Hemi -- 605 cubic inches monster engine! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valve body, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M; shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coil overs and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Bead lock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! Were very excited to present this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette in our Milwaukee showroom! This two-owner vehicle underwent a full body-off and complete disassembly restoration to the highest standard. The car easily met NCRS Top Flight/Duntov specifications and was judged accordingly. The original owner was a member of the Titusville Corvette Club and a friend of the Eckler brothers (Ecklers Corvette of Titusville). This van was used by a local company called “Farm Fresh Eggs & Florida Juice Co., INC.” in the 60’s as a delivery van for their business. It has been repainted to is original colors inside and out, while maintaining all original panels. This Corvair, air-cooled, horizontally opposed, 6-cylinder engine, is located in the rear of the vehicle under a slightly raised cargo floor. The engine size was increased to out put 105 hp. Unlike the Corvair cars, the Corvair Greenbrier had a 95 in wheelbase and were thus known as 95s. They came standard with a three-speed manual transmission. This 1948 Ford pickup is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Rat Rods have been around since the early 70’s but have recently gone mainstream. With there over the top I don’t care what you think style they usually get more attention than a custom show car. This 48 Ford truck was built to drive and get a bunch thumbs up as you go down the road. The body of the truck is in great shape with the satin green really getting people to look twice. With the front grill coming from a 450 Case dozer you can be certain you won’t have to worry about pulling up to another one at the stoplight. The front end has been painted bright red a great accent against that flat green. The flaming river steering box allows for a better feel of the road making the steering more precise. The speedway front calipers work great stopping this ole truck faster than anything in 1948. Under the take-off hood is a rebuilt Chevy 307 that powers this rod down the road just fine. The huge aluminum radiator keeps that small block nice and cool with the electric fan being more of a just in case thing. The huge headers with the collectors coming out each side puts an exclamation point on this radical Rat. Matched up to a rebuilt TH350 that shifts out just as you would expect. The 10-bolt rear end handles the power nicely turning the big back tires with ease. The extremely cool looking aluminum gas tank mounted in the back is classic 60’s era styling.
