The motor was designed and hand-built by the professional motor builder and holder of 3 NHRA world records Ben Watkins with such attention to detail, precision, and quality that it would be nearly impossible to recreate, obtaining a reliable 550HP in this lightweight yet rigid chassis, per Ben. The exterior Victory Red paint is nice, accented with dual white stripes. Chrome bumpers and roll-bar, polished aluminum quick-fill gas cap, aluminum side louvers and 427 Cobra badges are reminiscent of 60s era class and power. The interior is nice as well. The supple leather seats, door panels, and water-resistant carpeting. A pulse-pounding 9 speaker 1000 watt stereo system with detachable face CD player and MTX sub woofer surrounds the cockpit and instantly lifts you to a euphonic state. Brass: water temperature, oil pressure, battery, fuel, RPM, and speedometer gages accent the leather dash. The trunk is well equipped with a 10 disc CD changer, stereo amplifiers, and a 10lb bottle of Nitrous for just the right occasion. The ground-shaking growl of the motor is unmistakable. The 427ci engine was bored .30 over to 433ci. Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads were installed along with ARP head bolts, Comp Cams triple heavy-duty valve springs, stainless steel valves, 5 angle valve job, O-ringed heads, bronze bushings, and roller rockers. An SCE .60 mil copper head gaskets complete the heads. The engine blocks deck was shaved and the receiver grooved for the O-ringed heads. Ceramic coated original style headers and side pipes let the motor breathe with an unruly growl. The MSD 6-AL ignition system provides the spark. MSD pro billet distributor, 3 stage timing retard, MSD dual-stage rev limiter, MSD supercoil, Accel 8.8mm race wires, Powermaster chrome alternator, and a Vortex dry cell battery provides the juice. The fuel delivery system consists of a Holly Pro 750cfm Dual feed race modified carburetor with high-performance jets and power valves mounted to an Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane intake. Holly dual electric recirculating fuel pumps, dual Fram canister fuel filters, Aeromotive dual bypass regulators, Earls stainless steel braided fuel lines, and an 18 gallon baffled aluminum fuel cell, no expense has been spared. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present a 1963 Nova SS Gasser street car for sale in our Atlanta showroom. This recent build with just 1,200-miles, took part in the 2018 Power Tour, accounting for 840- of those miles. She is powered by a dual quad 355 cu in; 10.7-1 Hypermatic flat top pistons; with 59cc aluminum heads, driving through a Muncie M-21 close ratio transmission to a 10 bolt positraction rear end with 3:55 gears. The steel body is painted in the original Fawn Gold paint with heavy metallic, and the interior is the matching color, with light-weight bucket seats, lacking the rear seat. She screams like in the old days with the wheel well headers, and the sparkle in the paint. This car is a head turner, and a smile fetcher! The build information is documented, and contained in the file. Here is some history for those who would like background on this exciting style of dragster. The term Gasser refers to a style of drag race car that was prolific in the late 1950s through the 1960s that ran on gasoline as fuel, as opposed to race fuel. These cars typically competed in heads up drag races that were classed by engine size and car weight. In the faster classes the cars used a straight axle front suspension that produced the intimidating stance that gassers are known for. Easily recognized by common features like the higher front end stance that was developed as a means of weight transfer to the rear wheels for traction, this style became popular later as builders attempted to achieve a traditional or nostalgic race look. These cars became fan favorites as the well-known racers began to run grudge matches for higher purses. In no time these matches were the top billing at many shows due to the crowd entertainment factor. Gassers were the top drag racing classes in the period that is now referred to as the gasser war years, which ranged from 1955 through 1968.In addition to the straight axle, most gassers also sported Halibrand wheels, no front bumper, and had a front mounted Moon tank. The gasser form was dictated by function and most builders looked to eliminate as much weight as possible. Having their exhaust pipes exit through the front fender to shorten the length of exhaust tubing is another common characteristic of gassers. Builders used 1930s through 1950s production coupes or sedans to create these highly modified racing vehicles. Late model cars were not allowed in the Gas classes until 1967, and the gas classes were totally eliminated by NHRA in 1972. They run today all over the United States and down under in Australia and New Zealand in vintage and nostalgia drags. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this ultra-rare 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS. The Camaro was Chevy’s answer to the revolutionary Mustang that Ford had introduced in 64. Although it was late to the party there is no doubt that the Camaro had a huge impact and influence on the automotive industry. This 67 is an unbelievably rare find with options that were pieced together for a very specific customer. So, rare that you will only find a total of 17 of them ever made and probably the only one to exist today. This beautifully restored 67 has everything a collector is looking for from the complete original paperwork to the numbers matching drivetrain this one has all the boxes checked. Let’s start off with the most important thing when talking about a muscle car, the engine. This little Mustang eater is packing a serious punch with the original SS350/295 horse engine intact and completely rebuilt. Matched up to the exact power glide transmission it left the factory with this blue beauty rides and drives just like it should. As with the rest of the car the exterior was brought back to its original form. The Marina Blue paint is as slick as they come with the correct white vinyl top bringing the car back to original condition. The bias ply tires give the look and ride quality of a true 1967 Camaro with the Rally wheels being almost as iconic as the car itself. Open the door and this is where things get different. The bench seat is probably going to be the first thing you notice with a very limited number of Camaro’s, especially SS/RS cars, having that option. Then you notice the vinyl interior with the piping around the edges giving away the premium interior option. Not rare enough then you should flip down the back seat as it another highly rare option that many did not take advantage of. We have had a lot of cars come through our showroom but I don’t believe we have had one with such an array of options. Whether you are a collector looking for a on off piece or just an enthusiast looking for an incredibly clean first gen Camaro this car will make a great addition for either one. Options on this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS include, AC, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt, Power Windows, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts and Bias Ply Tires wrapped around Rally Wheels. This goregous 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Description:

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is pleased to offer for sale for the first time since 2015 this one of a kind 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. This is the well-known Star Wars Vette from years ago. It has a brand-new summit 383 Stroker crate engine with a 4-Speed Manual gear box. The car has 29352 miles showing on the Odometer. Now that said go over this amazing work of art. Back in 1977, a young filmmaker named George Lucas changed pop culture forever with the release of the first Star Wars movie. That film not only ushered in cool special effects, it set the standard (in the immortal words of Spaceballs Mel Brooks) for movie merchandising and soon Star Wars branded toys and accessories were everywhere. Obviously, the first Star Wars movie made an impact on the world, former owner, and creator of this special 1974 Corvette. The car showcases many scenes from the movie with hand airbrushed murals painted on every body panel. The Corvettes body panels were hand airbrushed by the renown Uniontown, PA resident Rusty Fecek who spent over 1,000 hours on the car. The Corvette features 20 coats of hand-rubbed lacquer and the richly covered murals have held up well over the last 35 years. Rusty showed the car back in the day (see the newspaper article attached) and it earned awards and praise where he went with it. After he passed away, the car went to his daughters garage where it was stored for 12-15 years before changing hands again. The autobody repairman combined his art and body work talents to create the car that features purple and silver as the primary showing colors and red, blue, and yellow tones. Rusty estimates that there is around 80 coats of paint on this master piece. The paint job alone was estimated at $10,000 in 1977. Rusty won several awards with the car including first in his class, most popular car with 90% average, and most outstanding use of color and paint. Rustys Life was lived from March 8, 1944 - November 28, 2017. He died at the age of 73. He left behind this masterpiece to show his passion for Art and automobiles. This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Star Wars creation is for sale in our Atlanta Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and video. please visit GatewayClassicCars.com.
