The Aluminum heads GT-40 V8 has been dressed out in polished/brushed aluminum or colored matched to gorgeous exterior of Grabber Orange. The suspension has been greatly improved. The deep red leather that is draped all over the interior is so plush and soft, it makes me wonder what they were feeding those cows. The interior is full customer with bucket seats for the front row with a center console and floor shifter. Under the hood you will find something a little different than the usual 350 cubic inch small block but instead will find a 292 Inline 6 cylinder. But, before you shake your head, listen to this inline purr or rather growl. This 6 cylinder has so much low end torque and makes such a great sound that if you drove it before looking under the hood, you would swear it was a big block. Covered in chrome this little mill has had every little detail thought through. Mated to the back of this power plant is a 5 speed manual transmission. Heidts(R) Mustang 2 subframe with 2 inch drop spindles that includes rack and pinion steering that is attached to the four link rear via subframe connectors. 1985 Porsche 911 Cabriolet "Turbo Look"
Porsche was not selling the 930 Turbo in the USA in 1984. In fact it had not been sold here since 1979. When Porsche updated the 911 for the 1984 model year by increasing displacement to 3.2 liters and reviving the Carrera name, the new 911 remained Porsche's flagship performer.
Porsche decided to offer a special option package that same year called "M491". It was known as 'Supersport' around the world. But here in the USA we nicknamed it "Turbo Look". Option code M491 included the wide fender flares, wider Fuchs wheels and the "tea tray" rear spoiler of the 930 Turbo. It also sported the Turbo's suspension and brakes. M491 was available on the 911 Carrera Coupe, Cabriolet and Targa.
The car we offer here is one of just 389 Cabriolets built in 1985 with factory option M491 for the US market. This is a very rare car. The car has belonged to a local Las Vegas resident who maintained a second home in the Northern California wine country where this car has been kept most of its life. Upon selling his home earlier this year, the gentleman decided to offer it to us. This car has benefited from an earlier respray in the correct factory Black paint. The paint has held up well for its age.
This Carrera has received a major service by us including fluids, filters, plugs, valve adjustment and brake flush. The front-wheel drive DTS was manufactured at GM's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly factory from July 2005 through May 2011.[4] Base price of the entry DTS at time of introduction was US$41,195 ($52,847 in current dollars) which was over 10% lower than the DeVille model it had replaced. One major feature change from the DeVille to the DTS was the elimination of standard 6-passenger seating configuration for non-limousine models. However, such capability remains an optional feature for fleet clients.[5] Even though priced less than the rear-wheel drive STS, the DTS is longer than the STS.
The DTS has standard industry features including multiple airbags, bi-functional xenon high-intensity discharge HID headlamps, leather seating, and power seats. Options include navigation system, Magnetic Ride Control (magnetic ride control on performance models only), moonroof, chrome wheels, heated/cooled seats, and a heated steering wheel. A new DTS Platinum edition was released in 2007 with special interior trim, badging, and other luxury amenities.
The DTS incorporates the updated GM G-platform (GM chose to continue referring to it as the K platform,[1] as denoted by the 4th letter in the VIN), and is powered by a transverse[6] 32V Northstar V8, which produces 275 bhp (205 kW) in "Standard", "Luxury" and "Premium" trims. The DTS Platinum is equipped with 292 bhp (218 kW) version.[3] GM phased out all GM fender badges from vehicles during the 2010 model year, including those on the Cadillac DTS.[7]

This car represents the third generation Toronado and was substantially downsized compared to its predecessor, losing nearly 1,000 lb (450 kg) and more than 20 in (510 mm) in length. Reflecting its 206 in (5,200 mm) length and 114 in (2,900 mm) wheelbase, it came equipped with the smaller Oldsmobile 305 cu in (5.0 L) V8. The three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission was standard equipment.
