The Round Town Cruisers are, once again, honored to be supporting The 7th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show to benefit the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp.

Sunday June 26th at 4 Corporate Drive (Enterprise Corporate Towers) Shelton CT.
Rain Date – July 10th

Show hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Registration starts at 8:00 am.

$10 registration fee.
No cut-off year.

All types of vehicles are welcome. Free spectator admission.

Dash plaques for the first 200 entries.
Ballot voting, great trophies, raffles and music all day.

Breakfast and lunch will be available along with cold beverages and lemon ice.

Indoor bathrooms.

Folks, this is a really nice show supporting a wonderful organization. The Connecticut Burns Care Foundation has been running a summer camp in Union CT on a 176 acre wooded campsite since 1991.
They bring in severely burned children between the ages of 8 – 18 from all over the world, providing a safe natural outdoor environment for these kids to just be kids.
The camp curriculum encourages comradery along with physical and social activities that helps children develop self-worth and allow them to realize they are fully capable of moving beyond their injuries and achieve their goals.

Here is the most impressive part of the camp, all campers attend the camp for free and special transportation arrangements are available for those who cannot afford transportation. In addition, all of the camp counselors, nurses, therapists and support staff volunteer their time. Many of the volunteers are active and retired firefighters, nurses and burn survivors from New England, NY, NJ, Maryland and Washington DC.

I had the honor to visit the camp a couple of years ago and was impressed by the relationships between volunteers and campers and the comradery everyone shared. It was like they were all one big family.

The camp, and the really wonderful things it does for severely burned children, really touched my heart and that is why RTC is supporting this great event for an even greater cause.
